Key Responsibilities
Reporting
Report directly to the Business Development Manager (BDM).
Proposal Development
- Prepare, format, and deliver proposals, budgets, and capability documents for clinical research and consulting services.
- Maintain proposal templates, pricing structures, and content libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Track proposal progress and follow up with clients when required.
Contract Management
- Draft, review, route, and manage execution of Confidentiality Agreements (NDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Work Orders (WOs), and Change Orders.
- Coordinate with internal or external legal counsel as necessary.
- Maintain organized and compliant contract documentation with appropriate version control.
- Monitor contract timelines, renewals, and required amendments.
Client Communication & Support
- Serve as a point of contact for clients during proposal and contracting phases when designated by the BDM.
- Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Support the BDM and senior management in preparing presentations, capability decks, and meeting materials.
Internal Coordination
- Ensure effective communication with key internal stakeholders, including BCCC Operations, Executive Director of BCCC, Finance (FMCB), Regulatory Affairs Consulting, and Statistical Consulting.
- Support bid defense preparations and assist in organizing client meetings and presentations.
- Contribute to a comprehensive overview of financial performance from the projects’ perspective through regular economic tracking.
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and the Executive Director to align pricing strategies and ensure budget accuracy.
- Maintain and update internal tracking tools such as CRM, proposal logs, and contract registers.
Market & Process Support
- Assist in collecting market intelligence related to pricing, service offerings, and competitor landscape.
- Identify opportunities for improving proposal and contract workflows.
- Support the BDM in the preparation of presentations and the organization of public events.
Required Experience
Education
- University degree, preferably in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Good understanding of accounting principles.
- Prior experience with portfolio projects, including financial management and forecasting.
Training Requirements
- Knowledge of clinical trials.
- Understanding of basic European regulatory frameworks relevant to clinical research.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a CRO in a similar position.
- Experience in other business areas is a plus.
Languages
- English, Spanish, and Catalan.
