BCCC Supports Clinical Evidence Presented by iVascular at CIRSE 2026

BCCC Supports Clinical Evidence Presented by iVascular at CIRSE 2026

The CIRSE 2026 Congress, held in Copenhagen from 5–9 September, provided an important opportunity to share new clinical evidence from iVascular’s peripheral and endovascular portfolio, including results from the ILICO and OPAL studies, both supported by BCCC.

At CIRSE 2026, Dr. Bahaa Nasr presented the 1-year outcomes of the ILICO study, a prospective European study evaluating the iCover covered stent in patients with iliac occlusive disease.

The results showed a 96.7% freedom from target lesion revascularization (fTLR) rate at one year, along with 90.4% clinical improvement among treated patients. The study also included a challenging patient population, with 30% of lesions classified as TASC C or D.

These findings represent an important milestone in the clinical evaluation of iCover and provide further evidence from a prospective European study.

Following the 1-year results presented at CIRSE, the ILICO study has now reached its Last Patient Last Visit (LPLV) milestone, completing the planned 24-month clinical follow-up for the full patient cohort.

CIRSE 2026 also marked the first presentation of results from the OPAL pre-market study, evaluating the Amber Liquid Embolic by iVascular.

Presented by Dr. Fernando Gómez, the study included 70 patients, with complete occlusion achieved in 98.6% of patients. These results represent an important first release of clinical data for Amber and contribute to the growing body of clinical evidence supporting its development.

For BCCC, these milestones highlight the importance of supporting clinical studies throughout their development — from regulatory and operational activities through to the generation and presentation of clinical evidence.

BCCC supported the ILICO and OPAL studies as CRO, providing regulatory, data management and safety services throughout the study.

Congratulations to iVascular, the investigators, study teams, and participating centers on these important milestones.
